It Takes a Village…

I wanted to reach out to tell you the why behind The Flourish Collective. This is just one story among many that have been a part of this vision.

I was an athlete—strong, active—but I had no idea how tight my pelvic floor was, and how that could impact my upcoming birth. I did the prenatal classes, worked on breathing and nervous system downtraining. I did hypnobirthing education. Stretched and "prepped" my pelvic floor (or so I thought). And I had an amazing doula through it all. Honestly, all of that prepared me so much for my first birth, but I was missing a HUGE piece.

After almost 48-hours of labor and four hours of pushing, I was left with a prolapse, incontinence, and pain—my body felt broken. I talked to several different providers and was left with questions, continued pain and leaking. It took a long time, but I went on a deep dive into pelvic floor education—through movement, breathwork, and intentional exercises—and I found real healing. That was the spark for Mountain Mama Pelvic Health. But as I worked with clients, I saw them going from provider to provider, unheard, without a village. And that’s what I realized—we can’t do this alone. It takes a village, and together, we built one. That’s why Flourish exists—to be that village of support, trust, and healing.

We are coming together for our Grand Opening on July 16th, and I want you there with us!
